Our Evolution: From Association to Agency — The HEIA Rebranding Journey

Since its inception in 2016, the Holistic Education International Association (HEIA) has undergone an inspiring transformation. What began as a cultural association focused on yoga, holistic education for women, and bilingual literacy for children has now evolved into a creative and educational consultancy. Our journey from a non-profit association to a consulting agency reflects our commitment to adaptability, growth, and community impact.

The Early Days: Building an International Community

HEIA officially became a national association in 2017 with the goal of expanding our reach. Our mission was to foster collaborations with innovative professionals across the country. In 2019, we established the Dharma Cultural Center, envisioned as our international headquarters—a place where members from all over the world could converge to host courses, workshops, and projects. However, the unforeseen pandemic drastically altered our plans, forcing us to shift our operations entirely online by 2022.

Despite the challenges, we remained dedicated to creating physical spaces for our members. We partnered with La Fabrica in Dolores, Alicante, to provide a venue for ongoing events and community gatherings. Unfortunately, rapid changes led to instability, making it difficult to retain members and maintain a consistent focus. The constant shifts in our project caused insecurity, which impacted customer confidence and loyalty.

Reflecting on Change: Closing Doors, Opening New Opportunities

By spring of 2024, we ended our collaboration with La Fabrica due to differing visions and needs. With dwindling memberships and legal issues stemming from our post-pandemic headquarters, we knew it was time for a major restructuring. The idea of closing HEIA was hard to accept, given the international connections and community we had built.

After much reflection, we realized there was still a way to carry forward HEIA’s mission—without the limitations of membership-based obligations. Thus, HEIA has recently transitioned from a non-profit association to a creative and educational consulting agency.

Embracing Change for Greater Impact

Our new focus allows us to offer professional consulting services to a broader audience. Where these services were once limited to our members, they are now available to anyone seeking guidance on creative, cultural, or educational projects. Our passion for empowering learning, fostering community, and supporting innovative educational initiatives remains as strong as ever.

Introducing the HEIA Library of Resources

As part of our rebranding, we are thrilled to release our extensive Library of Resources with books in English and Spanish to the public. Over the years, we’ve compiled valuable documents through research and contributions from our former members. This free library is now available to anyone interested in accessing educational and creative resources that can help in shaping their projects.
